In 1988, the Engenheiros recorded Ouça o Que eu Digo, Não Ouça Ninguém. Their second album, A Revolta dos Dândis, came in 1987, bringing more hits: "Infinita Highway," "Terra de Gigantes," and "A Revolta dos Dândis." On July 16, 1988, the Engenheiros played in the III Festival Alternativa Nativa at the Maracanãzinho (Rio) for 20,000 people, and from then on, concerts for packed stadiums would be a common practice for them. Gessinger took over on bass and invited guitarist Augusto Licks to the band. But at that point, the newly married Pitz left the group.
Longe Demais das Capitais had the hit "Toda Forma de Poder," which was included in a TV Globo soap opera. Of the two songs included in the LP, "Sopa de Letrinhas" scored a hit in their region, and BMG decided to dedicate a solo album to them. The BMG label, interested in releasing a compilation of the new bands of the South, heard of a festival at the Gigantinho stadium in which the Engenheiros do Hawaii were selected to perform. With a good response, they departed for precarious shows in upstate Rio Grande do Sul. The band made their first performance on January 11, 1985.
Guitarist Carlos Stein (from Nenhum de Nós) joined the band in their early performances but left soon afterwards. According to the band, the graphic art seeks to show the mascot Sage in a darker mood: “We wanted to present a more realistic Sage, with a strong expression and at the same time that seemed marked by life we brought him closer to us.The Engenheiros do Hawaii were formed in 1984 in Porto Alegre, RS, by guitarist/vocalist Humberto Gessinger (born in 1962, Porto Alegre), drummer Carlos Maltz (born in 1963, Porto Alegre), and bassist Marcelo Fagundes Pitz (born in 1963, Porto Alegre). The cover was designed by Tiago Masseti, who has worked with Hibria, Luis Kalil and Daydream XI. It was mixed and mastered in Los Angeles by the renowned Brazilian producer Adair Daufembach. The album was recorded between 20 in the cities of Los Angeles (USA) and Porto Alegre (Brazil) and was produced by Magnus Wichmann at Magneto Studio (Brazil) and Daufembach Studio (USA). RAGE IN MY EYES’ latest album, entitled “Ice Cell”, is available on all digital platforms. With this huge background, the musicians are now aiming for the future.
On October 9th, 2019, RAGE IN MY EYES joined IRON MAIDEN in Porto Alegre, Brazil, at Gremio Stadium. Scelerata was also Paul DiAnno’s official Brazilian backing band from 2009 to 2014, playing 50+ shows with this heavy metal icon. guest appearances from Paul DiAnno (former Iron Maiden) and Andi Deris (Helloween). The band had three albums released worldwide, including the acclaimed album “The Sniper”, feat. For 17 years the band went under the name SCELERATA, that had a huge history in the Brazilian heavy metal scenario. RAGE IN MY EYES is a heavy metal band from Brazil. RAGE IN MY EYES are blending heavy/prog metal with elements of milonga (a music genre from southern Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina), the band presents a never-heard metal before.
